Digital Place – Placeness: Performative Production of Space
Prof Aleksandar Dundjerović

The presentation will examine the latest research work, Placeness and the Performative Production of Space, a book to be published 3 October 2024, focusing on Digital Place and the role interdisciplinary performance plays in the creation of a production though the use of new technologies. It will also discuss the case study of Brazilian Macbeth, Zoom live digital theatre. The book marries theory with a series of international case studies of performance practice and interviews with practitioners. This interdisciplinary study examines how space is performatively produced to create a sense of ‘placeness’.
