Often seen as the French answer to Russia’s Mighty Handful, Les Six were a group of kindred spirits, united by their time at the Paris Conservatoire, where they exchanged ideas and forged lifelong bonds. Satie later brought them together under his Nouveaux Jeunes recitals, setting the stage for their individual genius to shine.
Though each composer carved out their own distinctive path exploring wildly different styles and careers, this evening promises to weave their collective music into a vivid vocal tapestry. Prepare for an evening of musical delight, where the spirit of Les Six comes alive.
Running time approx. one hour and fifteen minutes
