En Pointe, Off Kilter with Thomas Glave
In conversation with his two previous collections of lyrical non-fiction, O. Henry and Lambda Literary award-winning writer and academic Thomas Glave scans some of the most defining events of our past and present histories, with twenty-three newly collected essays ranging from British colonialism and the trans-Atlantic slave trade, to the Covid-19 pandemic and Black Lives Matter.
Offering us a series of quiet and meditative reflections on race and racism, Jamaica and Jamaican queer identity, and the literature of the African diaspora, En Pointe, Off Kilter confirms Glave's status as one of the most eloquent and erudite writers currently at work; one who continually elevates to poetry the unavoidable subjects informing our lives and moving our hearts.
