Looking after your mental health and wellbeing

Our pledge: Our mental health and wellbeing team, including seconded NHS staff, is here to support you throughout your time with us to ensure you achieve your full potential.

Student on video call

What can I expect?

Many of our advice and wellbeing services work very well digitally using online or telephone appointments. However, we understand that sometimes students will need to see someone in person so are planning on both digital and face-to-face appointments. We will respect student choice and ensure we meet needs throughout the academic year.

Accessing the Mental Health and Wellbeing Service

You can access the full range of services - Wellbeing, Mental Health, Counselling and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy - from Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, at both our City South and City Centre campuses. We will continue to offer the vast majority of our appointments via telephone and Microsoft Teams, with a limited availability for face-to-face appointments.

Contacting us

Contact the team on 0121 331 5188 during office hours or email sa.wellbeing@bcu.ac.uk if you have any questions about our service or accessing support. We will endeavour to respond to your email within one working day.

Our Mental Health and Wellbeing iCity page is updated regularly and you can also use it to request an initial appointment with the team.
