Just a short walk from our City South campus, Beech Gardens is a cosy student accommodation with a sense of community. Set in leafy grounds and with two treehouse pavilion common rooms, the Almero team host regular events to help you make new friends. You’ll share a flat with four others and have access to two bathrooms, plus a modern kitchen and living area.

Queen’s Hospital Close is the cheapest student accommodation near our City South campus. You’ll have an en-suite bathroom and share a kitchen and living area with your flatmates. Living at Queen’s Hospital Close, you’ll also be just a short walk from the city centre shops and restaurants, plus you can easily access the Worcester and Birmingham canal for traffic-free walks, runs and bike rides.

Lakeside – 45 minute walk, 30 minute bus ride, 15 minute cycle

While not quite as close as the other options on this list, Lakeside is the closest city centre accommodation to our City South campus. You’ll also have an en-suite and be slightly closer to the shops and entertainment in the city centre. It takes around 30 minutes to get to City South by bus from Lakeside, 15 minutes to cycle and about 45 minutes to walk.

Can I stay at a student accommodation in the city centre if I’m based at City South?

Yes, some students who study at BCU’s City South campus do stay in City Centre accommodation. BCU manages University Locks, where security is a priority, which makes it a popular choice. All of our City Centre student accommodation is between 45 and 50 minutes away from City South campus on foot, and about 30 minutes by bus or tram.

Cheap accommodation near BCU City South campus

Queen’s Hospital Close is the cheapest accommodation close to BCU’s City South campus, costing £6,450 for a 43-week contract. Beech Gardens is the next cheapest at £6,751 for a 43-week contract. Prices are correct for September 2025 to June 2026.
