Research in Birmingham School of Media is directed through the Birmingham Centre for Media and Cultural Research (BCMCR). Our researchers and postgraduate researchers engage in research across a range of research clusters, comprising of:

In REF 2014 the research environment in Birmingham School of Media was recognised as conducive to producing research of internationally excellent quality, with over half of research outputs submitted graded as internationally excellent and considerable impact in terms of reach and significance.
