Wang Hua won our Institution of Engineering and Technology Prize after attaining a First Class Honours degree in Telecommunications and Networks.

She began her studies at Nanjing University of Science and Technology on a partnership programme with the Faculty, coming to England at the beginning of the two-year programme. During the final year of her studies, she carried out extensive project work on the computer control of household appliances using digital data transmission. Her project supervisor, Dr Nick Holden, reported that this was a project of exceptional standards.
