We are the largest trainer of undergraduate nurses in the UK (based on number of students enrolled; HESA Student Record 2021/22).
Travel abroad
and observe practice in other countries, like our adult nurses who went to Pittsburgh, USA, and our midwives who visited Tanzania.
Facilities
our state-of-the-art healthcare facilities include a birthing suite, resuscitation room and simulation equipment.

We provide a dynamic and forward-thinking learning environment, supported by more than 100 academic staff who are qualified professionals and experts in their fields.
Our innovative facilities simulate the real situations that health professionals may come across. Our mock wards enable you to get a feel of what a ward is really like before you head out for your first placement. They contain ‘Sim Men’, which are demonstration dummies that exhibit symptoms, allowing you to treat them as you would a real patient and build your confidence in reacting to the changing needs of patients.
