Virtual Summer Week

Join us this summer

Join our action-packed and fun-filled week at Birmingham City University’s Virtual Summer Week this July! There will be various workshops, guest lectures and keynote sessions on a series of subjects.

You will get the chance to meet our BCU Student Buddies and network with other students around the world! Join in various activities, quizzes and games with prizes worth more than £2,000!

£25 Entry Fee

£160 Discount Fee for a group of eight or more

There really is something here for everyone. We have some fantastic keynote sessions, virtual walking-tours of Birmingham, games and networking session, and academic workshops covering a wide range of topics. Some of the topics in the week include:

How to create a killer LinkedIn profile

From how to get started on a LinkedIn to how to really stand out on the platform, we will help you whether you are a LinkedIn beginner or just looking for tips on how you can make more of an impact.

Online interview preparation

This session will explain how to prepare for an interview, what questions you are likely to be asked and you'll learn how to perform effectively during the interview process.

Yoga session

Gentle movement and breath work to start your day. All you need is some floor space to move on the spot.

Expressing Your Inner Artist

The session will focus on ways we can use basic drawing to think of alternative solutions to problems. Creative thought can be applied to all manner of things and we often do this without thinking.

What have we learned from COVID-19

The world has heard a lot about Public Health during the COVID-19 crisis, here we will take a comprehensive look at how to prevent & limit the harm from such pandemics going forward.

What does it take to build a start-up?

This session helps provide students and graduates with an overview on the principles of starting a commercial or social enterprise.
