Course aims

This course introduces the key concepts and production skills required to create compelling audio drama for both radio and podcasting. A team of experienced UK audio producers and technical staff will work with you to develop early drama concepts through to the final stages of production.

The focus is on professional ‘real world’ practice, with students learning valuable skills in idea generation, commissioning, and pitching. Practical advice on scripting, recording, directing voice talent, and use of music and sound effects are provided, with training taking place in the Parkside building’s state-of-the-art radio studios. Post-production skills in audio editing and mixing are also covered in this intensive, hands-on programme.
