Printmaking and Photography
Course description
This hands on course will introduce you to a variety of creative printmaking and photography techniques. We will draw inspiration from the city on a walking tour to form the basis of our prints armed with a 35mm film camera and a sketchbook that you will have bound yourself.
What will you study?
You will explore a wide variety of techniques, including:
- Photography
- Post-processing
- Darkroom printing
- Analogue processes: cyanotypes, photograms
- Studio Portraiture
- Bookbinding
- Letterpress
You will research practitioners in each of these fields to enhance your understanding of the technique. The culmination of the course will be an exhibition of your books and prints.

English language requirement: No formal qualification required; however all classes will be taught in English
