Fashion Design students showcase work at Harvey Nichols

Harvey Nichols has created a striking window display to showcase the talent of Birmingham City University Fashion Design students.

After seeing the students designs at the catwalk show that BCU hosted in Digbeth, Harvey Nichols chose a variety of different student works to be displayed in their window.

Rong Cherry Xing, Leia Groom, Jayd Cousins, Abigail Buckland and Sophie Vincent, all had their work displayed in the window the Mailbox store in Birmingham City Centre.

Constantine Tziambazis, Sales Manager at Harvey Nichols Birmingham, said: “With thousands of people exploring our city over the last 11 days for the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, we felt passionate about providing a platform for Birmingham’s emerging fashion designers to exhibit their latest creations."

"We have been so impressed by the quality of work these graduates have produced and have loved building the window display. We wish them all the very best of luck as they enter into the fashion industry.”

Birmingham City University Fashion Design Lecturer Elizabeth Burton said: “The work produced by this year’s graduates has been of an exceptionally high standard, and their passion has shone through.”

Birmingham City University Fashion Design Graduate Jayd Cousins added: “It’s an absolute honour to share a snippet of my collection on a platform as prestigious as Harvey Nichols and represent upcoming fashion talent in Birmingham. I’m really excited to see my work displayed in the same space as some of the most influential names in fashion.”
