Asha works as a Senior Technician for Fashion, where she can mostly be found in the Fashion workshop supporting students and demonstrating various garment construction techniques, using a wide range of industrial machinery including lockstitch, overlocker, buttonhole, walking foot and postbed leather.

With over 20 years of working in the garment manufacturing industry, and having responsibilities ranging from sample machinist, supervisor to quality control, Asha gained experience making children’s, ladies and menswear for major retail clients. Her aim is to pass on her tailoring knowledge to help students prepare themselves for their future careers in the Fashion industry.

In her spare time, she loves sewing tailored jackets and Indian outfits for her daughters and also loves to crochet Amigurumi toys and hosting dinner parties.
