We don’t want to make assumptions, but teachers – including student teachers – seem to have a bit of a thing about stationery. From the multiple uses stationery items can have right through to just wanting something because it’s so cool or pretty etc., you just can’t seem to get enough of the stuff!
So we spoke to a couple of final-year BA (Hons) Primary Education students to find out what stationery items they’ve found essential while on placement in schools…
Now you've heard what they've got to say, here's your essentials list:
- Post-it Notes
- Pens - not just black and blue, but also red and green and whatever colours are in your school's marking policy
- Highlighters - again of various colours (these may also be indicated in your school's marking policy!)
- Your own glue stick (that you must guard with your life!)
- Board markers (these also tend to go walkies...)
