Essa Shahra
Essa Shahra received a Bachelor's degree from Taiz University in his home country Yemen, before progressing on to his Master's at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals in Saudi Arabia. He obtained his Ph.D. from Birmingham City University. He recently joined the Computing and Data Science department at Birmingham City University as Assistant Lecturer.
His research interests are AI, IoT, wireless sensor networks, routing, fog computing, indoor localisation, and computer network and security.
Essa’s work experience has included working as Research Assistant at Birmingham City University and Marie Curie. He also worked as a Graduate Assistant at King Fahd University and a Teaching Assistant at Taiz University, within their faculty of engineering.
