Dinisa Kandasamy

Dinisa is an ACCA qualified accountant. Before joining academia in 2009, she worked in practice conducting external audits, tax work and preparing final accounts for a wide range of clients including SMEs. She specialises in Audit & Assurance but also teaches Financial Accounting and Financial Reporting. She undertook a secondment at KPMG Birmingham - Public Sector Audit in 2017 to update herself with current practices in the audit market and develop better links between theory and practice in her teaching.

Dinisa has been actively involved in international student recruitment in Asia taking part in events/guest lectures abroad. She is familiar with the demands of the South East Asian market and have been successful recruiting students from this region. She was also involved in student & staff mobility and new exchange partnerships as the departmental Study Abroad lead and was successful in securing grants/funding to support specific mobility projects.

Dinisa is looking to embark on the research route with interest in audit education and audit practice.
