Kendall Cowle, a PhD student investigating photography at BCU

Kendall Cowle (Kenny) is a current PhD candidate within the school of Visual Communication at Birmingham City University and is being funded by Midlands4Cities.

Her research focuses specifically on developing new understandings of Cerebral Visual Impairment (CVI) though the use of photography.

In undertaking this research, Kenny hopes to raise awareness of CVI bringing it to the forefront of current research surrounding visual impairment, which is also part of her broader goal to address the multi-faceted nature of brain-based visual impairment and its relationship to the visual arts through future research.
