Steps to Success Discovery Tool
The university seeks to better understand individual student need and set in place actions to improve student success.
Students will take diagnostic tests, covering four main areas:
- Academic skills - gaining data of students' abilities in academic reading and writing, analysing texts, study skills and understanding of the University's expectations and terminology
- Numeracy testing - understanding strengths, areas for improvement and knowledge gaps in students' numeracy skills
- Wellbeing - highlighting which students may benefit from proactively offering support with their mental health. Screening for disabilities and learning difficulties
- Digital literacy - highlighting strengths and areas for improvement in students' digital understanding and skills with using digital information
