Principal Lecturer and Professor of Graphic Art. Award winning Illustrator with 30 years of industry engagement. Responsible for developing courses in the School of Art and initiating several outreach programmes for the University. Research areas include the development of autographic print processes in contemporary graphic art practice.
He teaches across all 3 years of the undergraduate course in Illustration at BCU, has delivered lectures to several postgraduate courses and is supervising a PHD student.
Andrew has had years of experience examining courses, both BA and MA in the UK and Ireland and has been on many review and validation panels both in the UK and Europe.
In 2014 Andrew set up the Parkside Press to produce small run publications and posters. Andrew has won major industry awards including the Yellow Pencil (D&AD) and the V&A award as well as working for many publishers and design groups in the UK, Europe and US. Recently he ran an International Open elective at NID in India. He will be exhibiting work in several London exhibitions, RCA Secret at the Dyson Gallery London and 175 years of Postage Stamps at House of Illustration, London May 2015.
He is a member of the Association of Illustrators and has been accepted as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and has been elected to be a member of the Art Worker’s Guild.
