Business School rewarded with prestigious award shortlisting

The Business School have been recognised nationally for their strong links with industry and commitment to learning and development with a prestigious CIPD Award shortlisting.

In collaboration with Mitchells & Butlers, the Faculty’s Academy of Multi-Unit Leadership’s Postgraduate Diploma in Multi-Unit Leadership and Strategy has been shortlisted in the category of organisational learning, alongside national heavyweights such as:

McDonald’s Restaurants
Olympic Delivery Authority
The Savoy, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts
Trident Housing
WM Morrisons Supermarket PLC

The shortlisted programme, which is one of the first of its kind in the UK, was created for Retail Business Managers at Mitchells & Butlers, to increase their potential whilst maximising the company turnover, demonstrating to the judges a strong link between learning and development initiatives and business growth.

The CIPD is a most prestigious professional award in which to be selected, and to be shortlisted is a great achievement. Professor Chris Edger, Director of the Academy of Multi-Unit Leadership said: “This shortlisting is recognition of the success we are currently having with a range of major multi-unit enterprises in the UK.”

The winners will be announced at a ceremony on Tuesday 11 October 2011.
