Baby Sam Visualisation Project

The Baby Sam project was developed to help midwifery students visualize the movement of a baby within the uterus and birth canal during delivery. The resource was commissioned by Alison Edwards, Senior Lecturer in Midwifery at BCU to complement her teaching in this area. Development was led by Mark Richards – 3D Artist within the OSIME RDG and involved creating over 1300 frames from 3D models using Z-brush and Maya software. These were then rendered out through the Faculty’s internal render farm and outputted as video.
