Academic partnerships and research

MBA PG Lunches 2018 - Group of people at a table As a practice-based university, we pride ourselves on developing research that delivers real impact to businesses. We forge strong collaborative partnerships with businesses across the region, helping organisations of all sizes and sectors to identify and solve their challenges.

Our academics boast considerable experience of working in industry and are on hand to provide first-hand support to ensure businesses both local and national thrive.

Currently, our experienced research staff have created partnerships that will generate considerable impact to both the business, the region and the wider world. Projects include supporting Midlands-based housing associations to provide their tenants with the skills and knowledge needed to become entrepreneurs. Our academics are ensuring the gap is bridged between policy makers, practitioners and academics for Birmingham’s creative communities. They are partnering with regional SMEs to improve their growth through digital strategies and campaigns. But it doesn’t just stay close to home. From improving the growth and sustainability of entrepreneurs in Africa to providing real-time data to businesses, our academic partnerships ensure we are the University ‘for’ Birmingham.
