Conferences and events

BCU's Hive lecture theatre, with presenter and audience.

EDS deliver several conferences and events throughout the year. Currently these involve our annual Learning and Teaching conference, and our Curriculum Imagination project. Find out more about these events, and how they can help you below.

Learning and Teaching Futures conference

Each year at our Learning and Teaching Futures Conference the university comes together to reflect, share and learn from innovative practice from across the faculties and professional services. We welcome presentations from teaching and research staff, professional services, postgraduates, and faculty at all levels (especially those new to conference presentation) to share ideas, projects and workshops.

Curriculum Imagination

EDS is hosting a series of lectures and provocations to focus on specific examples of how decolonising can be used in academic practice. We hope to gain and share insight into how decolonising has been implemented, and how different subjects or types of academic practice can work towards decolonised teaching. We hope to provide an instructional approach for those who attend the lectures.
