Emma is an established cognitive researcher with extensive publications in the use of electrophysiology to inform models of long-term memory. Since joining BCU, Emma’s research has expanded across the behavioural sciences, including health inequalities, subjective wellbeing and decision-making. Her research focus thus lies across both cognitive and social domains and understanding how these intersect to impact wellbeing and health.

Emma is Chair of the Psychology Department Research Ethics Committee. She lectures and teaches seminars across a number of modules on both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses, particularly research methods, statistics and how to negotiate the ethical review process.
