Keith’s research focuses on the social consequences of surveillance and monitoring, with an emphasis on the impact of governmental regulatory policy. His recent book examines new forms of public duty mandated by the UK Counter Terrorism and Security Act and its bearing on the educational sector. Presently Keith’s research is concentrating on the project Desecuritising Higher Education (Joseph Rowntree Foundation), which reviews Prevent Duty policies and guidance within HE providers across the UK. He has also published work on eBorders, money laundering, CCTV, lifelogging, the Prevent Strategy and the impacts of security regimes on organisations and individuals.
