Arriving in the UK

International students arrive at Birmingham AirportArriving in January 2021

Covid-19 tests

All International Students arriving from all international destinations will be required to present a negative COVID-19 test result before departing for England to protect against new coronavirus strains circulating internationally.

A negative pre-departure test reduces the risk of someone travelling whilst infectious, acting as another safeguard to prevent infections. Passengers must self-isolate for ten days regardless of their pre-departure test result.  International Students will need to present proof of a negative COVID-19 test result before your departure.  The test must be taken up to 72 hours before your flight.  If you don’t present proof of a negative test result certificate, you may not be able to board your transport to England.  If you arrive in England without proof of a negative test result, you could be fined £500.

Passenger locator form

You must also complete your passenger locator form, which can be completed in the 48 hours before you arrive in the UK.  To complete the passenger locator form you need:
