Postgraduate Loyalty Scholarships We offer a range of scholarship opportunities for international postgraduates which you may be eligible to receive or apply for.

Please note that scholarships are only available to self-funding students.

Students are only eligible to receive ONE bursary - whichever is greater.

The following list details all the courses that are exempt from a bursary:

  • PhD
  • ACCA
  • Conservatoire and BSA courses
  • Top-ups for Masters courses
  • Short courses that are less than one academic year
  • Part-time or distance learning
  • Study Abroad programmes
  • Exchange programmes
  • FCEAP
  • Pre-sessional English
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Law (PGDL)

Postgraduate Scholarships – Non EU only

Every year we provide a number of scholarships recognising the talents of our international students, which will be applied towards the cost of your tuition fees.

All non-EU international students enrolling on a postgraduate course in September 2019 will be eligible for a scholarship of up to £2,000. This is awarded based on your academic background and your grade will need to be the equivalent to a UK degree:

  • £2,000 if a 1st degree holder
  • £1,500 if a 2:1 degree holder
  • £1,000 if a 2:2 degree holder
  • £500 if a 3rd degree holder

The following courses are exempt from this scholarship:

  • ACCA
  • Conservatoire courses (Music and Theatre)
  • PGCE and PCET
  • Masters in Teaching and Learning/Educational Leadership (MTL/MEL)
  • Continuing Professional Development (CPD) courses in Health

Please note that scholarships are only available to self-funding students and those studying on a full time course for at least one academic year.

Start in January - £1,500 scholarship

  • Pre-Sessional English
  • PhD
  • BCUIC Foundation and Pre-Master programmes
  • GradCert in Jewellery and Related Products

BCU Achievement Scholarship

Students who are graduating with a first or second class undergraduate degree from BCU are eligible for an Achievement Scholarship of up to £3,000 when they progress directly on to study a Master’s degree in September 2019 or January 2020.

Prompt Payment Bursary

If you pay your tuition fees in full before travelling to, or during your enrolment in the UK, you will be entitled to a £300 prompt payment discount.

This discount applies to the amount you owe after any scholarships or bursaries have been deducted from your tuition fee.

Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarship

Applications are now open for Queen Elizabeth Commonwealth Scholarships 2019. These scholarships give talented students from anywhere in the Commonwealth the opportunity to gain a Master's degree, while developing new skills, experiencing life in another country, and building their global networks. Visit the ACU website to choose your preferred subject area and apply by 6 February 2019.

Commonwealth Shared Scholarships

The Commonwealth Shared Scholarships are for candidates from lower middle income Commonwealth countries, for full-time Master’s study on the following courses:

  • MA Education
  • MSc Transforming and Leading in Healthcare
  • MSc Public Health

These scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, and are aimed at those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK.

Eligible countries include:
