Next steps after submitting your application

After you submit your application, please allow up to three weeks for us to review it. During peak times or if you submit your application later in the cycle, this process may take longer. Once you have received an offer from us, these are the next steps you need to take.

Studying your PhD as an international student

If you are made a conditional offer, please upload the required documents to your Applicant Portal.

If you have already decided that we are your study destination, you can pay your deposit. Once we have assessed your documents and check that they meet the requirements we will provide you with an unconditional offer.

To ensure a smooth process, we recommend you follow these steps:

1. Submit your final documents

Log in to the Applicant Portal.

2. Pay your deposit

  • If you are from India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, or Nigeria, then you will pay £1,000 to secure your place for January 2025 intake and conduct your pre-CAS interview.  If you pass your pre-CAS interview, then you will pay the remainder of your semester 1 fees (50% of your total tuition fees minus your initial deposit of £1,000).
  • If you are from any other country, please pay 50% of your tuition fees after you have been granted an offer.

There are two ways to pay.

3. Let us know you've paid*

Drop us an email to let us know you've paid. We'll provide your CAS within five working days.
