Teacher Specialist Subject Training (TSST)
Teacher Specialist Subject Training (TSST) is offered to school partners and Teaching School Alliance hubs. It is highly flexible training offered to QTS participants who:
- Want to refresh their knowledge to teach (or learn to teach) a particular subject
- Are returning after a career break, and need to refresh and update their subject knowledge and pedagogical practice
- Are new to teaching a subject directly, and want to build confidence to teach it
- Are teaching any relevant GCSE subject, and desire to improve specific subject skills in maths, physics or MFL (Spanish, German or French)
This course offers a unique opportunity for you to further your CPD qualifications through completing ONE FREE and additional, significantly price reduced, practitioner-focused modules on our TSST programme. Modules can be combined to use as you wish, for example, you could undertake a Master's in Teaching and Learning at Birmingham City University, join our taught MA Education (MAEd) programme or progress to other university Level 7 programmes with APL (Assessment of Prior Learning).
