Aderoleola visited Thailand, volunteering at orphanages and teaching English to kids.

Memories

"We experienced so much in Thailand and made sure we made the most of every day. As a group there were two memories that stand out above the rest. The first is when we visited the orphanage a couple days before we were due to fly back to England. Seeing how happy the kids were and how much they appreciated small things made us realise how fortunate we all were while growing up."

"The second moment is when in one of the schools we handed out small ‘’goody bags’’ to the children which contained things like basic stationary for them to use at school. The kids were all so happy and respectful upon receiving the goody bags, the feeling we got from seeing the smiles on their faces is indescribable."

Amazed

"At the orphanage we were amazed at how well the kids could speak English, even better than some of the children from the schools. On our arrival they all welcomed us, asking our names in English and telling us theirs in English.

After our experience, if the opportunity was there and the pay was good then we would all consider working abroad! Especially as teaching something such as English would come naturally to us.

We have the details of the founder of ‘Volunteer teacher Thailand’ and perhaps if any of us visit Thailand again we can easily contact him to arrange to meet and hopefully do more volunteering!"
