Our Event, Venue and Experience Management course was co-created by Richard Oddy. Before coming to Birmingham City University, he worked in a variety of companies, including the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, Golf England, Barnardo's and Macmillan.

Richard, alongside fellow course co-creator Professor Chris Edger, has been compiling the event manager’s new bible, “Events Management: 87 Key Models for Event, Venue and Experience (EVE) Managers”.
The book explores every aspect of how to become a successful event manager, incorporating the 6 key "Es" of event management:
