The Student Engagement and Recruitment team work with thousands of students, delivering activities talks and events designed to boost understanding of higher education and future career opportunities. Providing information, advice and guidance for students at all stages of their academic journey, our dedicated team have years of experience of working with young people.
We have strong links with school and college staff across the region and enjoy working with partners to support students, and their families, in making choices about the move into higher education.

The Widening Participation (WP) team advise and support learners from less advantaged backgrounds to access BCU and participation in higher education generally.
Our aim is to help remove any barriers that still surround entry to higher education, in turn supporting progression to university. In partnership with universities, schools, colleges and charities, we deliver collaborative summer schools, co-ordinate undergraduate mentoring schemes and facilitate higher education outreach activities.
