Jingwen Lin

Jingwen Lin profile picture I am a branding designer who is deeply influenced by eastern and contemporary design. In 2015, I achived a photography award from University in China. I love food, travelling and studying the culture of the republic of China(1912s-1949s).

My design ideas come from the pattern of blue and white porcelain. Why do I want to use the blue and white porcelain pattern as the main body? First, I think the modern people can continue to inherit the traditional Chinese art while making use of modern culture. Second, both tea and the blue and white porcelain have a thousand years of culture, so the two have an inevitable connection. Moreover, the blue and white porcelain is composed of decorative patterns, while my design is the tea series, so the two can be integrated with each other. With regard to the colour, I also chose the simple blue, which is the same as the colour of blue and white porcelain. On the packing, I decorate it based on the meaning of the “tea” is above the red seal, making the designed finished product reveal the strong Chinese culture breath.
