Mike started his broadcasting career in 1983 as a journalist in cable TV newsrooms and progressed to becoming a news Producer/Director before moving into broadcast TV as a Network Director for Thames Television and Producer for the BBC.

At the BBC, in 1990, Mike joined the team responsible for branding and promoting the Corporation globally winning international awards, including BAFTA and D&AD Gold for on-air and off-air marketing and promotions campaigns.

In 1996 Mike was hired as Head of Creative Services for ITV’s Carlton Broadcasting Group where he executive produced all on-air marketing and commercial production before starting his own company, Message Multimedia, in 2004. As Creative Director there Mike has made programmes for Discovery, launched Al Jazeera English and trained students all over the world from universities in the UK to NGOs working in Siberia and Sudan.

Mike is currently consulting for a variety of TV companies across EMEA territories whilst teaching in the UK and he has just completed his PG Prof. Cert. in Teaching & Learning in Higher & Professional Education with the University of London's Institute of Education.
