PGR Students: Priority 1 Return to Campus Requests

Covid-19 continues to have an impact on our research community which  affects postgraduate research (PGR) students, academic colleagues and the delivery of funded and unfunded research projects.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), Professor Julian Beer, has set out the University’s plans for a phased restarting of research on campus in the coming academic year. During Phase 1 of Semester 1 only PGRs with an essential  Priority 1  need to work on-campus will be permitted to return to campus for strictly limited periods, to work in two managed Covid-secure hot-desking environments which have been developed specifically to support our PGR students. Find out which research priority group you are here.

If you feel you have an essential requirement to access on-campus PGR hot-desking or research facilities during Phase 1 of Semester 1, please contact your supervisory team for advice in the first instance. With their agreement and support, you can then make an application to your FRDEC for granting of Priority 1 access by completing the PGR Student: Priority 1 Return to Campus Request form.

The form should be returned to your Director of Studies, who will email it to your local Faculty Doctoral Research College Office for review and decision by FRDEC.
