What is an Open Day?

Three students walking and talking at City Centre Campus

Wondering what exactly an Open Day is and how it all works? We break it down for you.

If you're starting to research universities and courses, you'll have seen the phrase 'Open Days' a fair few times. But what actually are Open Days, and why could they be useful for you?

Universities run events called Open Days a few times a year, which give students a taste for what life is like at uni, and where you can talk to staff and academics, current students, and find out more about your subjects of interest and where you could be living. It's the ideal way to see if a uni is right for you. So what exactly will you see when you're at a BCU Open Day?

City Centre Campus Open Days

Interested in business, social sciences, law, arts, design, media, computing, engineering, or the built environment, to name a few? Let our student Shelby explain exactly what you could see at our on-campus, city centre Open Days.
