We know our virtual tour is great and gives you a real feel for what it’s like to be a BCU student, but there’s more to see! A Birmingham City University (BCU) Open Day is full of experiences that our virtual tour just can’t replicate.
Here’s what you’ll get if you visit us in person:
Even more facilities
We can’t possibly fit all our £500 million facilities into a virtual tour. Visit us on campus and you’ll tour our labs, studios, teaching spaces, workshops, and specialist facilities.
In our subject talks and tours, you’ll get to see the kit you’ll be using during your course.
Get your questions answered
While digital resources are helpful, nothing beats hearing from real people. Our staff and students will be on hand to answer any questions you may have.
Find out everything you need to know about your course, accommodation, student life and much more. We’ve got a handy list of questions to ask at our Open Days so you can come prepared.
Get expert advice on your personal statement and student finance
Writing your personal statement and applying for student finance can be confusing parts of the university application process. Luckily, we have experts on both topics available at our Open Days to give you confidence in your UCAS application.
Meet your future classmates
You’ll be surrounded by people considering the same course as you. It’s a chance to make connections early and maybe even meet someone who’ll be on your course in September.
Open days
Find out when our next open day is and book your place.
Try our food on campus
We offer 40% off hot food on campus, meaning you can get a hot meal for less than £3! So why not grab an affordable lunch and try out some of the options we offer.
Explore Birmingham
If you’ve never visited Birmingham before, this is your chance to see if it feels like your kind of city. Whether you choose to do some shopping or explore one of our museums and art galleries, there’s always a way to make a day of it.
Confirm your choice
At BCU, you’re not just choosing a university, you’re joining a community. An Open Day is your chance to get a feel for the place and see if it’s the right choice for you.
