BCU Travel Pass Scheme
BCU’s Travel Pass scheme gives you a free West Midlands travel pass for your first year at BCU (worth up to a maximum of £750). It’s our way of helping you get to campus, meet friends, and explore the city without worrying about travel costs.
Please note: The pass applies to applicants applying for the 2026/27 academic year.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the West Midlands travel pass, you will need to:

Be studying at one of the following schools or colleges in the 2025/26 academic year:
Birmingham Metropolitan College
Cadbury Sixth Form College
Dudley College of Technology
Halesowen College
Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College, Birmingham
Sandwell College
Central Saint Michael's Sixth Form
Shireland Biomedical UTC
Shireland Collegiate Academy
Solihull College
Solihull Sixth Form College
South and City College Birmingham
Walsall College
City of Wolverhampton College
Coventry College -
Apply to and accept an offer for an eligible course (see below) at Birmingham City University to start your studies in September 2026 or January 2027.
All undergraduate courses delivered by BCU are eligible for this scheme. The scheme is not available for courses delivered by BCU partners.
You will be eligible whether you apply in main cycle (by 30 June 2026) or in Clearing.

Receive your results in the 2025/26 academic year (for qualifications you are taking for the first time).
If you have deferred an application for 2025/26 or are applying with qualifications you are already holding, you will not be eligible for this scheme.

Be given a confirmed place on an eligible course at Birmingham City University.
