Get £1,000 towards your travel costs when you choose BCU

Where you live shouldn’t limit where you study. With BCU’s £1,000 Accelerate Travel Bursary, eligible students who live outside the West Midlands Combined Authority area can get extra support towards the cost of travelling to university.
So, if Birmingham feels that little bit further away, don’t rule us out. We’re helping make travelling to BCU more affordable, giving you more choice about where your future takes you.

You’ll receive the £1,000 bursary in three instalments across the academic year to help with your travel costs while studying at BCU.

Starting in September 2027 or January 2028? Check your eligibility below.
