Dr Nadia Maalin

Nadia's research focuses on perceptions of body size and shape using computer-generated imagery and 3D scanning technology.

Nadia is interested in the development and validation of novel tools and techniques for body size perception research and applications in healthcare/clinical contexts. She is also interested in how perceptions are related to psychological, sociocultural, and biological factors.

Nadia's passion for becoming an academic stemmed from getting involved in research as an undergraduate, having a supportive learning environment, and a drive for developing our understanding of something that affects so many of us (body image).
