Dr Kathrina Connabeer teaches on a number of modules on the BSc Psychology and MSc Health psychology course at BCU. She thoroughly enjoys interacting with students through using real life case studies, practical examples and more generally chooses a hands-on approach to her teaching.

Helen gained her PhD in Health Psychology, became a Research Fellow in Mental Health and then worked in the NHS before coming to BCU in 2011.

Dr Misba Hussain
Lecturer in Psychology
Misba Hussain began her journey at Birmingham City University by studying a BSc (Hons) in Psychology. After graduating, she progressed onto working towards her PhD. Misba’s PhD is related to obesity, and she is currently conducting several experiments on promoting healthier eating behaviours.

Senior Lecturer in Psychology
As a lecturer in Psychology, Dr Jeff Wood is particularly interested in the way people understand language as they read. Specific interests include conditional language usage, implicit meaning , online processing, research techniques and methods of statistical analysis.
