Sandra Dunford

Sandra is an Adult Nurse and Research Assistant. She has experience in Practice Nursing and District Nursing.

Sandra started her nursing career with The Bradford District NHS Foundation Trust as a District Nurse Sister. After a level 7 Specialist Practitioner Diploma in Community Health, she followed her interests in policy and politics of community health through a Master's degree with Leeds Beckett University.

This work triggered an academic calling to perform deeper research in how the health of communities is influenced, leading to a successful application with Birmingham City University as a Research Assistant with a postgraduate researcher opportunity within the Centre for Social Care, Health and Related Research.

Sandra now enjoys assisting in research related to the care of older adults and nursing and continue my interests of community health through postgraduate research and as part of the West Yorkshire and Humber Health Inequalities Network.
