Hannah Malpass

Hannah is completing her PhD through the GRTA scheme at Birmingham City University, combining PhD study with a part-time research and teaching assistant role. Her project is funded by the University through the faculty research development fund (STEAM scholarship).

Hannah is a qualified primary school teacher, specialising in Early Years. She graduated from Birmingham City University in 2014, having completed the BA (Hons) in Primary Education with QTS. She has also taught in a smaller school in Worcestershire, where she gained experience teaching in Key Stage One. Hannah has also taught within a private sector nursery school in a mixed age class of two-to-four-year olds.

In 2018, she completed her MA in Education at Birmingham City University, focusing on outdoor education within her Master's research project. She has also previously worked in the outdoor education industry for a company providing residential experiences to school-aged children and as a special needs teaching assistant. In her spare time, Hannah is an active scout leader in Hereford and Worcester.
