Adewale Alabi
Adewale (known as Ade) completed his degree in Adult Nursing at Birmingham City University in 2015 with First Class, served in different roles whilst studying which include; Course Rep, Elected Ethnic Minorities Student Officer in BCUSU, Ambassador for Posture, Movement and Handling, Peer Mentoring, Mahara tutoring among others. Ade has worked in a variety of clinical settings as a Registered Nurse in different NHS Trusts. He is experienced in Post Anaesthetic Care Unit Orthopaedic, Gastroenterology, Cardiovascular and Intensive Care Unit. He has been part of BCU right from day one he started as student, worked as a Visiting Lecturer in Posture, Movement and Handling at BCU. He passionately believes in giving back to the society that gives him the opportunity to grow and partake in future development.
Ade enjoys learning how best to support, inspire and engage students in a pastoral way to achieve greatness in their chosen career.
Ade championed the support for new starter nurses into ICU in with full support from the Deputy Associate Director of Nursing for Division 1B at UHB in addressing concerns and conflict resolution, creating a positive learning environment and retention of nurses in Critical Care Unit
