Umesh Desai receives MBE from The Princess Royal
Umesh Desai has received an MBE from Princess Anne, HRH The Princess Royal, at Windsor Castle in recognition of his outstanding services to higher education.Birmingham City University’s Director of Estates and Facilities was presented with the honour on Tuesday.
BCU named in Top 250 UK Employers
Birmingham City University (BCU) has been named one of the UK’s Best Employers in the Financial Times’ annual ranking. BCU placed 249th in the list of the top 500 UK-based employers, compiled by the Financial Times in partnership with data provider Statista following an independent survey of 20,000 employees in 2025.
