What’s the best discovery you’ve made since starting the university?
It’s got to be that there is a Subway near to campus! Also, there are so many different societies out there for you to join if you want to find like-minded people to yourself and make new friends.
What's your favourite thing about BCU?
The Course. Vivek and Bisola are fantastic course leaders, both really friendly and approachable. Any problem you have they will try to solve or point you to somebody who can. The course also has a large amount of hands on sessions too, meaning there is a good balance between practical and theory elements.
What do you love about Birmingham?
The diversity of the people living here, along with the variety of shops and restaurants, you can pretty much get anything you want in Birmingham!
What are your top tips for students starting the course?
Refresh yourself on basic human anatomy. Try and learn some basic coding skills if you can and refresh yourself on your maths and physics if you took them.
What didn’t you know before starting your course?
That any of your lecturers will be willing to help you with any problems you have with the course, no matter how small. They are also very accommodating with the needs of individual students.
What are your university essentials?
A laptop if you have one, if not you can borrow one. A scientific calculator, a good pen and lots of notebooks. Maybe some coffee, a pizza or two and a few beers too if you have some money left in the budget!
