Mark started his career in 2010, joining the Royal Air Force and training as a RAF Medic. During this time he completed various additional training, including Battlefield Advanced Trauma and Aeromedical Evacuation. In 2013 Mark served in Afghanistan as a patrol medic, working with an infantry unit in an arduous and challenging environment.

Subsequently he joined West Midlands Ambulance Service in 2015. Initially working as a technician, Mark was awarded a DipHE in Paramedic Science from Coventry University in 2018. Continuing his education, he studied part-time to be awarded a BSc in Pre-Hospital and Emergency Care, again from Coventry University, in 2020.

Mark then took on the position of Clinical Team Mentor within WMAS, supporting junior staff members and students by supporting their development. During 2021 he maintained his academic study and completed a PG Certificate in Advanced Clinical Practice (Critical Care) at Warwick University.

Finally in 2022 Mark joined East Midlands Ambulance Service as Specialist Practitioner, acting as a clinical leader at challenging incidents and offering an enhanced skill set to patients.
