Advanced Materials and Manufacturing

Specialising in materials science, manufacturing systems, logistics and more to solve engineering problems.

The Advanced Materials and Manufacturing research group specialises in materials science, applied mechanics, bio-engineering, mechatronics, manufacturing systems, logistics and supply chain management. It utilises all of these in order to solve engineering issues using closely linked computer-based analysis, experiment and industrial input.

The group has three core areas - Materials: Processing and Design, Engineering Systems and Design, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, and Structural Integrity. The academics, research fellows and PhD students bring together their multidisciplinary research approach contributing to material design, innovation and intelligent manufacturing.
