BCU-CCEG 4th Industrial Revolution Technologies Centre

The 4th Fourth Industrial Revolution Technologies Centre (BCU-CCEG 4IR Technologies Centre) focuses on providing structured education and consultancy through the BCU Business Advice Centre, and research applications in the fields of mobile, procurement and banking.

The Centre is a collaboration between Faculty of Business, Law and Social Sciences at Birmingham City University (BCU) and the Centre for Citizenship, Enterprise and Governance (CCEG) with Dr. Shishank Shishank as the Director of the Centre. The partnership was established on 6th February 2020 for 5 years, with the following aims:

  • Establish a research centre to explore applications of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT) and 5th Generation mobile telecommunication (5G).
  • BCU certification on noncredit bearing courses, credit bearing courses for Continuous Professional Development (CPD), Masters and Post Graduate Research Program (MSc, MA, MPhil, PhD)
  • Identify business opportunities for conducting funded development leading to joint ventures.
