Real-world experience

Our Health students learn in realistic environments that prepare them to power the front line. Simulated hospital wards, a birthing suite, operating theatre, an exact replica of an operational emergency ambulance, and radiography suites give them the skills they need.

Parkside

The Parkside Building boasts four film and TV studios, all operating industry-standard tapeless digital workflow. Studio A, at just over 2,000 sq ft, is in the top 15 largest studios in the country; Studio B, at 2,100 sq ft, is one of the largest fixed green screen studios in the UK.

City Trading Room

Our CITY Trading Room uses the same investment analysis software as traders, financial analysts and decision-makers in the investment industry. Our student-run, in-house marketing agency The Link enables business students to sharpen their skills with briefs from leading businesses and organisations such as Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Serco and Cure Leukaemia.

Alexander Stadium

We've invested £5 million in developing the world-class Alexander Stadium to house our specialist laboratories and bespoke learning spaces for our Sport and Exercise Science students.

By moving into the stadium, we've helped to secure the legacy of the 2022 Commonwealth games for the benefit of the whole city and region, ensuring that this world-class facility remains an integral part of the sporting fabric of the city and country for many years to come.

Our STEAMhouse building places us at the heart of business innovation in the UK. This dynamic space offers invaluable resources, support, and a platform for students, graduates, and local entrepreneurs to launch and grow their own businesses.

Equipped with a variety of co-working, artist production, incubation, and networking facilities, STEAMhouse enables students to collaborate with businesses, engage in real-world industry projects, and hone their entrepreneurial skills.

Royal Birmingham Conservatoire

Music students at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire have access to nearly 100 practice spaces, including 70 individual practice rooms, larger ensemble spaces, and dedicated workshops.

Our state-of-the-art live performance venues, such as the 500-seat Concert Hall, 150-seat Recital Hall, Organ Studio, Eastside Jazz Club, and the innovative black box venue, The Lab—provide platforms for student concerts and performances by internationally renowned artists.

The UCAS deadline is 16 January, and if you're ready to study somewhere that believes in your potential, BCU is ready for you.

On course to a career

BCU graduates are innovators, creators and specialists in their field. You'll work on course-related projects and work placements with companies and organisations like Gymshark, Microsoft, Cisco, Unity, Jaguar Land Rover, Sky UK and the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra.
